Yesasia.com  | Raymond Lam, the current TVB-flyer, who was recently in the hit series TVB » Moonlight Resonance play along, we served almost simultaneously with his brand new Cantonese album "Your Love" nine songs that can be can truly taste. If we cuddle the attractive singer / actor with plush cat in her arms on the cover against languishes, you guessed already, the concept of the album, but although the construction has come incredibly consistent. It starts already with the highlight "爱 不 疚 (Love With No Regrets)" , a catchy ballad that not only because of its visibility through the series "Moonlight Resonance" more current than positive from the ballad sameness stands out. The tragic Melody has become incredibly beautiful and Raymond Lam inserted (as in the rest of the tracks, too) incredibly great feeling in his voice. Unfortunately the rest of the album is not measured at the first track. Something average will indeed have the power ballad, "爱人 与 海 (Lover And Sea)" that wins only with repeated listening in intensity and good enough to play in the top league. With "Tonight" presents us Raymond Lam faster, danceable track, the groove properly, yet, unfortunately, very reminiscent of 90's Europop. Nevertheless, one must admit that the song is catchy and far more on the plate disturbs less than one might have assumed. The classic duet (the Raymond Lam denies here with Cantopop singer Vincy Chan) a must, of course, not achieved in "明天 以后 (After Tomorrow)"  as typical of male / female duet, at most, average quality, and not the only because the voices of Raymond and Vincy do not fit together so well. What some may sound incredibly romantic, is for others but just rather pompous and perhaps even unbearable. In order to reach more fans, there's the song as a bonus at the end of the album to hear again in Mandarin, where he somehow a bit happy sounds. Overall, it would have here a version of the song but it certainly did. With the beautiful and emotional ballad sung »凭良心 说 再见 (Saying Goodbye With Conscience)" one rings then again half the time of the plate. The melancholy ballad "影子 的 爱情 故事 (The Shadow's Love Story)" and the more traditional held »浮生 若水 (Life Like Water)" line up nicely into the overall concept of soulful songs with nice melodies. There is no known tune it back in the casual Track 8 called to hear | »All About Your Love" , a slightly faster, but relaxed nice-sounding track that works in Cantonese and Raymond's voice surprisingly well. Although Raymond Lam on his second album
"Your Love" music not sure reinvent and much of the disc has become rather quiet, the album is surprisingly good and can face for weeks without problems on heavy rotation. The purchase worthwhile if only because the first track (which might well have tempted even the most buyers to purchase), but the rest is clearly audible and, above all, very nice. A tame little pop album without total failure, which is fun and definitely want to see more. Let's hope that the trend in Hong Kong in the future goes back to quality like this. Tracklist:
